Family STEM Night at Parsippany High School

March is NJ STEM Month, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than organizing another fantastic program for STEM Pathways students and their families in Parsippany. Last year’s Family STEM Night at Parsippany Hills High School was a big hit, so we aimed to go even bigger and a little broader.

With the help of 29 outstanding Career Guides representing animal care, architecture, engineering, environmental management, healthcare, law enforcement and more, we hit that high mark and also hit another milestone: Career Carnival #25!

Over 200 high school students, siblings, parents, and other family members joined us at Parsippany High School to meet professionals who focus their time and talent on everything from food (dietitian) to feet (podiatrist); teeth (dentist) to trees (arborist); and manufacturing (plant manager) to water management (water resources engineer).

They learned about bees, mosquitoes, and ticks; interacted with reptiles, guinea pigs, and highly trained K9s; and met a pair of superstar vets who care for the pets we love so much.

They spent time with people who design our communities’ buildings, roads, and bridges and others who keep those communities safe.

And if that wasn’t enough, they also ate delicious cookies, courtesy of Sunrise ShopRite of Parsippany & West Caldwell!
