We think you’re going to like this story…
Two women who had never met attend a career planning event at a local community college. One is looking for information for her daughter, a high school student. The other is representing a school district.
They strike up a lively conversation that lands on a key question: why don’t we start talking about careers with younger kids?
They agree that wondering isn’t the same as solving, and they’re all about getting things done.
So, several brainstorming sessions and many cups of coffee later, Career Carnival for Kids co-founders Michelle Hollander and Gina DiDomenico come up with their core concept: an entertaining and interactive approach to spark career curiosity among elementary and middle school students.
They add new chapters: pilot programs, online offerings, larger events, more focused events, a growing roster of outstanding Career Guides.
And with invaluable input and encouragement from family, friends, and supporters, the Career Carnival for Kids story continues.
