The All Careers Tour at the Paramus Library was fantastic in December 2024: amazing Career Guides, terrific turnout, outstanding partnership with the library, even the weather cooperated (never a given in December in northern NJ!). Not surprisingly, we jumped at the opportunity to return a year later, but would the second time be as good – or better – than the first?
In a word: YES!
On December 6, 2025, about 140 kids and families came out for STEAM Careers That Create Change, where they designed a campground, measured air quality, put a computer together, pet a snake, used a microscope to identify mosquitoes, and so much more.
Career-curious kids of all ages met superstar Career Guides from AIA NJ EPiC, Arcee Tech, Core Care Plus Rehab, and Langan Engineering, who were all part of the fun last year and back again with engaging and educational activities.
The Association for Supply Chain Management, Cola’s Cold-Blooded World, and Rutgers Safe Schools Program had shared their expertise and enthusiasm famously at other Career Carnivals and now added Paramus to the list.
Finally, we welcomed brand-new (and absolutely amazing) Career Guides from Beautiful Journey Counseling, Bergen County Mosquito Control, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office – Bomb Squad, Bergen County Zoo, Hackensack Meridian Health, Shoprite of Lodi, and Virtual Advisement.
And what could make such an excellent event even better? The Parsippany High School Redbots, of course! These bright teenagers took this STEAM-focused program to the next level, showing our young participants what they could be doing long before any big career plans come into view.
Special thanks to our generous sponsors: AIA NJ EPiC, Core Care Plus Rehab, Langan Engineering, and Shoprite of Lodi.
